Slovak Literature in English Translation

Jonathan Gresty is a freelance teacher, translator, and novelist who has been living in Slovakia since 1992. He studied English Literature at university in his native UK, and over two decades later did a PhD in the Translation of Tourist Texts at the University of Prešov. In 2021 Ikar published his novel Cudzincov kabát, the sequel to which, Iné názory, will be coming out in August 2026. Although most of his published translations are non-literary, he has translated the following novels and poetry collections:
