Slovak Literature in English Translation

Most of the stories in The Night Circus and Other Stories appeared in Uršuľa Kovalyk’s second short story collection, Travesty šou, published in 2004 by ASPEKT. Kovalyk’s elusive, delicate stories blend frank treatment of women’s sexuality and pressing issues such as violence against women, aging and the environment.
